You will also find a BBQ grill, picnic tables, campfire pits & washer & horseshoe throwing games on the manicured grounds under the shade of the huge oaks. Or just relax on your float in the river or take a nap in the hammock under the huge cypress trees listening to the sounds of the river flowing over the dam. 2 miles north of Utopia with nice restaurants, various country stores & a beautiful golf course with new club house. 15 miles from Garner State Park & river tubing, 12 miles to Lost Maples Park with hiking trails, 25 miles from Medina with the “world’s best apple pie” winning restaurant and finally if you wish to experience the old west, 30 miles from Bandera, the “Cowboy Capital of the World”. |
