We've never seen a river so clear! We liked looking at the many fish swim by. The Axis deer were abundant. Horseback riding was wonderful. We had a relaxing and enjoyable 25th anniversary here and it was our first to the Hill Country. Lord willing we'll be back and invite others.

This cabin is perfect. The river,the birds,the deer,the fireflies(my first time to see them),the whippoorwill call of the bird every night was just so cool. I did my first rope swing into the river (I'm 53). Lost Maples was great, the Hicks House sandwich shop makes the best chicken salad around. Sitting out under the trees and stars at night was Amazing. Thank you.

This place is amazing! It is so beautiful... from the house to the river and even just the land, itself. It made me feel like I was in a storybook. When I went to the river, I felt like I was in Winnie the Pooh's cottage or in Tarzan or something. This place is just gorgeous! You keep the place up and well maintained. Great relaxing time in this wonderful historical house. It rained all weekend and was very cold for Easter. We still had the best time... played cards,played pool, cooked outside. Fire place is a great feature to warm and inviting living room. Thank you for allowing our dogs to come along as they are a part of our family. There were three families staying here this week. We had a truly amazing time. The scenery was beautiful, the river was wonderful, & the history in this place was incredible! We traveled around different cabins (including Neal's & Riding River Ranch) and none compares to this place! We enjoyed each other's company, but each had their own space. The children had so much room to play. The river here alone does all...tubing,playing.rope swing, and just sitting back and relaxing! Our time here together was memorable. If others weren't coming in today we'd stay a few more days! See you next year.

My Dad use to say "Texas is God's Country" I think this part of Tx is truly His! This property is so lovely. We visited Garner State Park and got some great pictures. We enjoyed fishing on THIS property, but we knew the fish got that big because no one could entice them with any lure! We were able to build a great fire in the fire pit on such a chilly night- fabulous! The reason we came --- Jerry's Birthday! We hiked at Lost Maples park then came back a grilled rib eyes! This has been a great getaway! Thanks for opening your cabin and sharing this bit of paradise!
